Basic Approach to Corporate Governance

SMAS has established its Management Philosophy and Code of Conduct as the foundation for all its corporate activities. To put these principles into practice, we regard the strengthening and enhancement of corporate governance as one of our highest management priorities. 

Corporate Governance Framework

The Board of Directors convenes in principle once a month. Chaired by the President & CEO, the Board decides on important matters as defined in the Company Rules and supervises the execution of duties by Directors and Executive Officers. In addition, SMAS has established a voluntary Council of Corporate Auditors, which audits the execution of duties by Directors.
