Pursue Carbon Neutrality together with Our Clients

SMAS (Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Service) has grown by providing high-quality comprehensive fleet management based on automobile leasing, in consideration of customers' safe and secure use of automobiles. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our stakeholders for their heartfelt support.

In fiscal 2023, SMAS proposed a new business model to realize a sustainable society, aiming to realize a "Mobility Platformer for a Sustainable Society" as what we want to make ourselves for the future. We run our business with sustainability so that we can reduce environmental impact and also solve the social problems and maintain sustainability of both economy and business.

For that purpose, SMAS strengthens its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives throughout its businesses.

With regard to the environment, as a member of the automobile industry, we recognized our responsibility to promote efforts to de-carbon the automobile, and declared "Carbon Neutral 2050" last year. This declaration represents SMAS's strong determination to contribute to control the global warming by reducing CO2 emissions. We also promote the Circular Economy initiative.

For society, we create new social values through our life together with local communities led by local governments. For our employees, we place health and safety at top priority and respect diversity and inclusion, and provide a fair environment to work.

For governance, we value transparency and accountability and provide all the stakeholders with fair and open information. We, the management team, formulate the strategies to achieve sustainable growth and monitor how those strategies are implemented.

SMAS renovated our company logo in this March. This new logo is a symbol of the future we aspire to and is more defined expression of our vision and value. The image icon of the earth succeeds our corporate color and also shows sustainability, and expresses a sense of security.

In addition, the three lines that grow toward the upper right corner respectively express "trust" in blue, "environment" in green, and "hope" in yellow. It is designed with the belief that "we create a world where various people can thrive and fulfill their aspirations" and "we lead the next mobility society."
